Liberals: While the fire rages in the GOP, we'll light a few matches of our own...

...hopefully we won't burn ourselves up in the process...

Coming on the heels of liberals desire to continue being political ostriches, is the story that MoveOn.org is planning to primary Democratic moderates who don't care to return to the pot of ObamAid (Clutch the pearls!). The "Head Pat Media" wants the populace to focus on the non-existent "civil war" occurring in the GOP, while there's a bloodbath going on in the Democratic caucus. The idea that grassroots Republicans want conservatives to represent them seems problematic for the "Head Pat Media's" desire for a permanent Democratic majority.

My blogger friend, Zandar, decided to go after Allahpundit yesterday, claiming when Allah went after Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC), he was wanting to purge the GOP of dissenting views. Allah, in agreement with Ace at AOSHQ, emphasizes there needs to be a bridge between conservatives and centrists. I challenge a liberal to find a conservative who believes there's no room in the conservative movement for people who are center-right, like yours truly (Hint: You won't find one...). If Zandar and other liberals' premise about the GOP is correct, will they be able to explain groups like GOPROUD and Log Cabin Republicans? Of course not, as that will disprove the assertion.

I don't mean to give campaign advice to Democrats, but if we keep hearing deluded commentary like this, then 2010 will definitely be a mess for the Democrats. If the idea to make the GOP more palatable to the electorate is to become more like Democrats, it would be foolhardy for Democrats to push their moderates to the GOP. Sure, liberals will trumpet the poll which shows party identification for the GOP at 20%, but that has more to do with the GOP forgetting their grassroots, instead of the GOP becoming extremists. It seems the elections this past Tuesday has caused a rightward shift in the GOP, to the consernation of many Dems (Even the delusional crowd who puzzingly see Democrats increasing their majorities next year...).

Right now, there is a blood bath in the Democratic party over ObamaCare. Moderate Democrats, the ones slated for the slaughter by MoveOn.org, are up in arms over the public option being used to cover abortions (Even though liberals insisted that the Hyde Amendment would prevent such coverage, but in truth, it limits that prohibition to MediCare) and the certainty that whatever bill the Pelosi/Reid/Obama cabal agree to, will blow up the deficit. Instead of realizing the real threats, Democrats and liberals would rather focus on the NY-23 win this past Tuesday, to bolster the stupid claim that the Republican party is suffering from a civil war...and boo hoo over Tom Price (R-GA) preventing a congresswoman from "speaking" (Something tells me that John Aravosis wasn't too concerned about Republicans being literally locked out of deliberations during an investigation into Countrywide Financial...).

Don't you just LOOOOVE selective outrage coming from liberals?!

National Review has a list of 55 nervous Democrats, but remember...the "Head Pat Media" wants you to think it's only the GOP that has problems with moderates, when it's the moderates who have a problem with the conservatives...not the other way 'round. Democrats celebrated Arlen Specter's switch to the Democratic Party in March, while the rest of us felt he just made it official, as he had been courting Democrats for years.

Have a great weekend!

Liberals: If ObamaCare goes down in defeat, it's because of "white guilt..."

...and Republicans...

No liberal better tell me they're smarter than conservatives ever, ever again. As more people continue to be appalled at the bills which make up ObamaCare, when they're exposed to the light, Democrats and liberals are still hoping that demonizing and marginalizing ObamaCare opponents will work. In one blogpost, Zandar, believes the opposition to ObamaCare, and his policies in general, is because of latent racism (while trying to convince people he's not calling them "racists"). A seemingly recurring theme on the liberal side is to portray the GOP as "happy with the status quo," even though a majority of the electorate, and the GOP, is not only "happy with the status quo," but are open for reform, not a takeover of the healthcare system. Democrats are hoping that the opposition we see in town halls all over the country, will turn into support in a few weeks (Ah, the faux outrage card). Based on that, it sounds like Democrats in the House will continue to push this crap over the objections of their constituents (when did that become a winning strategy?).

The president and Congressional Democrats are continuing to try and pull the wool over the eyes of their constituents. It's being reported throughout the blogosphere and the Obamedia, that the "public option," which would destroy the private insurance industry, may be on its way out the door, possibly picking a fight with the more liberal wing of the Democratic Party (but that won't be enough to keep them from voting for him if he decides to run for reelection...). This revelation prompted liberals to ask "Well, who IS Barack Obama..." (Shoulda listened to the Right and Hillary Clinton supporters, who were trying to tell you, instead of calling them "racists").

The idea that the "public option" is facing the knife blade is no reason to believe it will be gone for good. Since our Congress is made up of two houses, they must reconcile differences in various bills, then revote on the consolidated bill. The president receives the consolidated bill to sign into law. Usually, the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader name conferees to the committee, based on their support of certain provisions in the bills, and whether the bills lie in the jurisdiction of the conferee's respective committee. For example, Pelosi appointed David Obey, Henry Waxman, Charlie Rangel, Jerry Lewis, and David Camp to the conference committee during the Porkulus "debate." Once a bill, called a conference report, emerges from conference committee, they cannot be amended, they receive only an up or down vote. Nothing will prevent conferees from inserting the "public option" into a conference report. Folks, this battle is FAR from over.

It is common knowledge now that Obama has shown a lack of leadership during his presidency. He should have been the one pushing for healthcare health care insurance reform from the beginning, instead of allowing the partisan House leadership to take the reins, and appearing to talk out of his hat. He's continuing to try and convince us of things in the bill that aren't. Steny Hoyer and Speaker Mimi are pretty much doing the same thing, despite the reports coming from the CBO. If the president wants to salvage ANYTHING from seeing the keystone of his presidency from going down in flames, he needs to tell us about it...and I'm not the only one who's saying that. If we are all going to be affected by this "reform," then we need to have a real debate and not rush into this, like Democrats and Obamabots want us to.

Have a great day...

Jon Taplin: Limbaugh and Beck may not know much about history...

...but I don't know much about anything else...

In the liberal mind, we're supposed to believe everytime they protest against some agenda, we're supposed to applaud them for their spontaneity. We were reminded throughout the Bush Years how everyday men and women were protesting the powergrab of the Bush Administration, but were supposed to ignore the Wizard behind the curtain funding all the protests. A recurring theme in liberal circles is the idea that granny and gramps protesting provisions in ObamaCare that limit their choices in advance care planning, are under a "Vulcan Mind Meld" instituted by talk radio titan, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News personality, Glenn Beck. I had hoped liberals had learned not to attack Limbaugh, since Obama's numbers continue to fall despite them trying to tie Rush to the GOP, but it would be out of character for liberals to learn important lessons such as that.

Jon Taplin, at the liberal blog Talking Points Memo, goes after Limbaugh and Beck for their alleged "puerile" understanding of history. Taplin claims that National Socialism and socialism are not the same thing, and that Limbaugh and Beck should have attended more history lessons, instead of boozing. Taplin cites a passage from Richard Evans' The Coming of the Third Reich that the Nazis were indifferent to the inequalities of society and sought to remake German character by using the radio, and bitches that these hosts use call screeners to maintain the "echo chamber." That would be a clever assertion, except that all talk radio shows, right and left, use call screeners (Thank you, come again).

Both fascism and socialism are similar in the idea of spreading equality from the greatest to the least, and all must serve the almighty state. One of the symbols from Mussolini's Italy shows a fasces, a bundle of rods tied around a cylinder, which also included an axe, with the bundle showing how the people are one in support of the state. Nazism is similar to fascism in believing that democracy and capitalism were failures. Both Mussolini and Hitler wanted all the state to serve them, as they were authoritarian. Hardly different from what Obama and Democrats demand of the electorate today, by projecting their feelings about themselves on protesters to their agenda. In fact today, my friend Zandar, decided to post an article by Sara Robinson, of AlterNet, which has the gall to say the rise of the Birthers/"Teabaggers"/"Healthers" is indicative of the rise of the fascism phoenix or something.

One of the ways Sara calls on people to slay the Fascism Phoenix is to "shut down the hate talkers," which in laymans terms means, write letters to CEOs with edited clips of audio the person objects to in the hopes the CEO will pull their advertising, like Spocko did to Melanie Morgan. She also insists the "teabaggers must not win" the debate, because she views their protests as bullying (something tells me she didn't view the antics of liberals during the Bush years the same way...). It doesn't take Robinson long to invoke the "Conservatives = Nazi" card, which was off-limits when used on Obama, while calling on her readers to engage in civil debate. The problem, as I see it, is that Obama and Democrats expected no resistance to their agenda, and as they were when McCain announced Palin as his running mate, they were caught flat-footed...they don't like it one bit. As she's encouraging her readers to shut down the debate on ObamaCare, I call on mine to keep the pressure on legislators to explain why this is the best plan to reform our healthcare system, especially since the Congresscritters don't want any part of it.

Oh yeah...now Media Matters (when?) is up in arms about companies supporting Beck, Limbaugh, and Dobbs, while pulling their support from Err America Radio (Apparently in their search for so-called "hate-speech" from talk radio, they never bothered to tune in to Err America Radio. Do they not remember the good ole days of Randi Rhodes advocating the shooting of President Bush, or how Mike Malloy hoped conservatives offed themselves on live TV? Guess not...).

Our cause, opposing ObamaCare and his wrongheaded agenda, is just...don't let the intimidation by leftists force you to give up the fight in holding him and our legislators accountable...

Have a great day...

Geithner: Let us look to Europe for inspiration...

Dr. Asten: Yes, because they have such a wealth of knowledge...(/sarc)

As the Wall Street Journal article says, "Joe the Plumber's vindication draws nigh." I doubt Sam will get the apology due him by Helen Jones-Kelly, the Ohio DFACS, Democratic Ohio governor Ted Strickland, and liberals who thought it was racist when Obama's tax philosophy was inadvertently revealed on the campaign trail. The Wall Street Journal reports that Treasury officials are scrambling for ways to pay for their pet projects. Soaking the rich will not bring the deficit to manageable levels, Democrats hoped that crap-n-trade would raise enough revenue, but that went up in smoke after businesses pressured Democrats to give up $646B in proposed revenue. There is no other choice but to soak the middle class, which is feeling a small brunt already with the increase in cigarette taxes.

One of the means Democrats and Obama Treasury officials are mulling is an adaptation of the European style "value added tax," or VAT. European officials, according to the WSJ, love this tax because it raises so much money with little notice from the taxpayer. According to its Wikipedia entry, the VAT, in contrast to sales tax, is "neutral with respect to the number of passages that there are between the producer and the final consumer." Michigan had a similar tax, called the "single business tax," or SBT, but it was repealed last year by the Michigan state legislature, approving a voter-approved initiative. I wonder if this example, like the government-run healthcare travesties programs in Maine and Massachussetts, will force Democrats into having second thoughts...I won't hold my breath.

While liberals bend steel, run faster than locomotives, and leap tall buildings in single bounds trying to protect their dear Obamessiah from criticism, back on Earth, people are not happy. In fact, there are increasing numbers of protests to ObamaCare, and other Obama pet projects. Not learning anything from their attempts to demonize and marginalize the Tea Parties, liberals are claiming that conservatives are "hijacking" the meetings these congressmen have with their constituents. My friend Zandar (who I believe has no relation to the ally of COBRA, the enemy of GI Joe) believes they're ambushes (way to channel the Mike Stark, my boy...), and in one post, Zandar compares it to *gasp* "terrorism" (Hide the damn children!)! Here, yet again, Zandar and liberals blame the GOP and conservative groups when the ire of their hateful rhetoric should be directed at Democrats, who have yet to come up with a final bill (I wonder if dodgeball is a fan favorite of liberals...).

I think the thing being overlooked by the self-proclaimed smarter-than-you crowd is the fact that there is no plan to pay for the expansion overhaul of our healthcare system. No amount of wordplay will change the fact that ObamaCare will lead us on the path to European-style healthcare, and its magnificent problems. I believe Obama and Democrats would have been in a better position to pass this crap if all of their political capital wasn't spent on shoving Porkulus and crap-n-trade. All this money is being spent, yet there seems to be no end to it, and definitely no accountability. Liberals want to continue to use the screen play to keep us all distracted, and the quarterback is being sacked every time.

You see when Democrats and their anti-war liberal friends were ambushing Republicans, it was genuine...nowadays, it's terrorism. That should show you that we're on the right track.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Keith Olbermann...fresh off vacation!

Have a great day...

Liberals: Damn you rightwing nuts! Don't you understand the words that are coming out of our mouths?

...criticizing Obama is R-A-C-I-S-T!

You knew it wasn't going to last for long. The good doctah has returned to his senses and started seeing liberals for the opportunists they are. Coming on the heels of agreeing that the Birther issue is one not worth pursuing, comes a return to the theme that played throughout last year's presidential campaign...critiquing Obama is racist, especially if a white guy does it (if a black guy does it, like the good doc, then he's guilty of either not giving him a chance or a complete sellout). Borrowing a theme from conservatives about liberals' bouts with reality during the first eight years of the decade, comes their idea that conservative criticisms of Obama lie not only in racism, but because of ODS (if you have no clue about ODS, just replace the 'B' in BDS with Obama...and liberals always malign conservatives for not being original). Of course they believe the leader of the Obama Derangement Syndrome movement is none other than honorary senator, Rush Limbaugh.

Kleefeld goes on a tirade against Limbaugh for the parody, Barack the Magic Negro, based on an article in the LA Times, by a man of African descent, David Ehrenstein, who repeatedly lampooned Barack Obama on forgetting where he came from. In his first article, of the same name, Ehrenstein talks about how Barack Obama lent himself as the balm to assuage "white guilt," as Paul Shanklin's parody pointed out. His second article lampoons Obama for trying to play both sides of the fence on gay issues, by courting gospel singer, Donnie McClurkin, who claimed to be an "ex-gay," and complaining that the GLB"t" community was challenging his authenticity on gay issues. The final article went after Obama for allowing Pastor Rick Warren to give the invocation at his inauguration. The bottom line, Ehrenstein was making it clear that Obama is an opportunist, the same theme Republicans and Hillary Clinton voters pointed out during the primaries. Are Obamabots going call the lot of us "racists" as well?

Kleefeld, nor his friend Zandar, pointed out at least two instances where Obama has shown that he's out for "whitey." There was no mention by them about the Obama Justice Department dismissing a blatant episode of voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party, and playing the race card in Skip-gate before all the facts were known. He has offered nothing but scorn for the United States, and bends over backwards to embellish the record of other nations. This nation was founded by dead white guys, and the president believes he has to remind us they were racists, too.

Whenever the "race card" is played to shut down an argument, or cease criticism of a particular policy, the one it is played on should see the vulnerability in the other's argument. The "race card" is a distraction, and in this case, a distraction from Obama's failures as president. Democrats, namely San Fran Nan, are unpopular now as unemployment rises, and an increasing percentage of the electorate believes the government is wasting more money, and not helping the economy. The man is six months in his presidency and has very little, if anything, to show for it. And the best Obamabots have is to call us "racists"?

Liberals believe in this deluded notion that the more Republicans and conservatives go after Obama's vulnerabilities, they will alienate more members of the electorate. Oddly, this political strategy worked very well for them in 2006 and 2008. They continue to be deluded by the notion that Barack is indeed a "magic negro," who with a few words will make all our problems go away. Sometimes, I, too wish I was was dreaming...

Can the "magic negro" find the words soon? 'Cause my company is looking at layoffs if things don't get better...

Have a great day...

ObamaCare: So good, Congress doesn't have to use it...

...and if YOU don't, you'll be penalized!

I'm afraid that I'll have better things to do than listen to President Oprompter try to impress the electorate again with his flowery rhetoric. With the revelation that he has no clue what's in any of the three bills that make up ObamaCare, I feel reassured that he's talking out of his ass. I'm tired of being farted on by this president, and the rest of the electorate, who seems to love the smell of methane in the morning, needs to get tired along with me. One of my blogger friends, The Black Sphere, had the privilege of attending a town hall hosted by the son of the late and former Missouri governor, Mel Carnahan, Russ (D-MO), where he tried to persuade Missourians to accept the so-called benefits of ObamaCare. The Black Sphere, nĂ© Kevin Jackson, asked the congressman “If it’s so good, why doesn’t Congress have to be on it?” To which, Congressman Carnahan refused to answer.

Sister Toldjah talks about how Senate Democrats reacted to an amendment made by Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK), mandating members of Congress and their staffs, to enroll in whatever healthcare program Congress comes up with. The amendment passed in committee, with a majority of Democrats voting "nay," but will likely be stripped in the conference between the House and the Senate. That says a whole lot about the bill writers in Congress. But that doesn't faze our dear friend, Zandar, who unleashes on Louisiana governor, Bobby Jindal, for not picking up the slack after Hurricane Katrina (even though he was just a mere congressman then...no hatred directed at Kathleen Blanco and Ray Nagin however...), and for offering subsidies to the insurance companies...or something.

Governor Jindal served as Louisiana's director of Health and Hospitals, where he rescued Louisiana's Medicaid program from bankruptcy, caused childhood immunizations to increase, allowing Louisiana to rank third best nationally in health care screenings for children, and instituted new and expanded services for elderly and disabled persons were offered. Those seemed to be the cornerstone of his piece in the Wall Street Journal, real reform, instead of throwing out the baby with the bathwater, that ObamaCare suggests we do. Admittedly, I am not to keen on economics, but I do know that the government has the ability to undercut the profits of the private industry. The government has an endless supply of taxpayer funds to support whatever investments, good or bad, it so chooses. That advantage isn't given to private insurance companies, who must adhere to the prices the government sets OR suffer severe profit loss to compete with the government. Let me explain this a little further...

Military members have access to the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), where servicemembers are able to buy goods and services tax-free and often at cheaper rates than Wal-Mart. In my experience in the Air Force, I would often shop at the shopettes or the Base Exchanges (BX), because I could get a bigger bang for my buck. Gasoline is usually cheaper on base, and I took full advantage of it. If a store like Wal-Mart had to directly compete with AAFES, it couldn't because its profit margins would decrease. Another example is healthcare that is given to military members, where they do pay a small amount for health insurance, and they receive treatments and their prescriptions at no cost. But, I challenge you to find a military member who says good things about military physicians, or better yet, the military healthcare system at all.

As mentioned in a previous blogpost, the ObamaCare theory is based on the Massachussetts' state-run healthcare system, which is being forced to dump 30,000 immigrants from its healthcare rolls, because of the state's growing deficit. And there is talk that healthcare insurance will be mandatory, as it is in MA, forcing the poor and lower middle-class to pay penalties in the range of 2.5%. A concept that has a blogger at the DailyKos sitting a little uneasy. That should give a few ObamaCare apologists pause, but I'm not holding my breath on that. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for affordable healthcare, but not ObamaCare...

So Democrats in Congress have upset Dear Leader...they were supposed to be taken in by his flowery language too! PSYCHE! The Obamanian presidential poker chips are all in, ObamaCare fails, so does his presidency. He said it himself!

Have a great day...

Obama: I don't believe I've ever served in Congress...

...because I insist that I inherited this mess upon my first day in office...

Boy, the healthcare reform debate is heating up. The rhetoric is becoming nasty and the strawmen are in endless supply. Opponents to Obama's agenda, or "powergrab," depending on how you look at it, are being cast as satisfied with the status quo. It seems to me those who are quick to smear opponents of ObamaCare and a host of other disastrous programs of his, are unsure whether these policies will work. Obama has had a few pieces of major legislation designed to "fix" the problems that he wants to believe he "inherited." Instead of fixing the problems, they're making them worse, and proponents of ObamaCare continue to believe the shiite coming from his piehole about this legislation saving costs, and even drawing a surplus.

Coming under fire from ObamaAid drinkers is the director of the Congressional Budget Office, Doug Elmendorf, because of a report from Speaker Mimi's office, which claims that the ObamaCare bill, HR 3200, is budget neutral, and produces a Medicare and Medicaid savings of $550B, and a $6B surplus to boot! I am sure you're asking yourself about the discrepencies between what the CBO report claimed last week and what you've read on San Fran Nan's blog. The answer lies in a charge that was made against Enron and Arthur Andersen in 2002...cooking the books. According to Ed Morrissey and Patrick O'Connor, Democrats plan to introduce new accounting rules to take away the constant headaches they suffer from the CBO's reports.

As I have said before, none of these issues deter the most ardent ObamaAid drinker. Michael J. W. Stickings and Zandar and Zandar again, are upset at Blue Dog Democrats and the GOP for having the gall to oppose ObamaCare, on the merits. Zandar is particularly apopletic because of a report by Steve Benen of the Washington Monthly, who claimed that Bill Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, warned the GOP in 1993 to stall HillaryCare because they did not want Billy Jeff to get credit for reforming the healthcare system and lead to an everlasting Democratic majority in Washington(not that HillaryCare was a disaster, much like ObamaCare and that Obama himself didn't want to repeat the HillaryCare debacle...nah, couldn't be that...). But are the memos as horrific as Steve Benen and Zandar claim? Hell nah, it's plainly another episode of Democrat insecurities and fear-mongering (a concept they preached against on 12 September 2001).

The memos stated that Republicans didn't need to compromise on HillaryCare because public support for it had declined, which was true at the time these memos were crafted. The memos discussed how Billy Jeff had planned to use the same strategy used by the current president, to paint his program as rosy as possible, despite public opinion at the time being satisfied with their healthcare coverage. Many opponents of HillaryCare were concerned about its provisions degrading their current coverage, much like ObamaCare would. Like Clinton in the 1993 healthcare debate, Obama is pointing to the vulnerabilities in our own and magnifying them, when only marginal reform is needed. No one is claiming that our healthcare system is perfect, which is the strawman most oft used by this president, Republicans, "ConservaDems," and other conservatives alike, believe, that our system does need reform.

Both Benen and Zandar, and I would presume all those who have used Kristol's memos as some proof that the GOP is opposing ObamaCare, not on its merits, but for political reasons, aren't aware that the same clouds are forming amongst the electorate as they did in 1993. They aren't too keen on what they've heard about ObamaCare and Obama's approval ratings are slipping as a result. But Obama wants us to believe that he hasn't had a hand in our current state, because he wants the electorate to believe that he hasn't been in Congress since 2004...

First, the same folks who controlled the White House and Congress for the past eight years as we ran up record deficits will argue – believe it or not – that health reform will lead to record deficits.

The president always invoked Dr. Martin Luther King's familiar phrase, "the fierce urgency of now," but he spent that on shoving Porkulus down our throats, does he, and his acolytes believe that he gets a do-over? Perhaps, as McQ (not the John Wayne movie) said, it's not that the opponents of ObamaCare don't have anything to bring to the table, they just don't buy into the fearmongering coming from President Obama and his allies in Congress. The more sunlight shone on this bill, the less of the public approves it. The White House knows it, Democrats in Congress know it...somebody else tell Zandar and Steve Benen.

Have a great day...

Zandar Versus The Stupid: Wingers can't read...

...and neither can I...

There is much buzz around the blogosphere about the 1,000 page bill outlining ObamaCare. Investor's Business Daily, reported that there was at least one "uh oh" provision in the bill that prohibits citizens, who have had private insurance in the past, from applying for private care if they lose it due to job losses or if they decide to become self-employed. If a person is currently insured by a private insurance company, they will be allowed to keep their coverage. Under ObamaCare, a citizen will only be allowed the option of private insurance coverage if, and only if, the public option is available. In an effort to prove that "wingers" are stupid, the Zandar at Zandar Versus The Stupid decides to go off on a tirade against those who are calling ObamaCare a blatant attempt at damaging the private sector. And a side note, if I am reading the text of the bill correctly, those who are covered by private insurance companies before this bill goes into effect, or Y1, the private insurance company has five years to comply with those plans created after Y1.

I guess none of this gives Zandar pause, he views it as Obama Derangement Syndrome (ain't it funny how the Left is stealing ideas from the so-called dumbasses on the Right?). The Congressional Budget Office is predicting that unlike the delirious projections coming from the White House, ObamaCare will not save the federal government any money, and will increase the deficit, as Doug Elmendorf, the director of the CBO, told a senatorial committee. Blue Dog Democrats, who are feeling the heel of San Fran Nan's shoe in their collective chests, believe that ObamaCare will do nothing to insure that healthcare will remain affordable and in the long run, may cost people their jobs. Commenters at Media Matters see no problem with the deficit increasing with this bill, they claim it's all for a good cause (even though no one who read the bill sees it that way)...unlike the Global War on Terror, which as of February 2008, cost roughly $700B, or about $100B a year. ObamaCare, according to the CBO has a price tag of about $1T and climbing.

Allahpundit reminds us that it's been exactly a month since Mr. Elmendorf testified that ObamaCare, with all it's promises of unicorns and gooey gooey gumdrops, will still leave a large number of Amuricans uninsured, not to mention waste even more taxpayer money. Can I just say something here? When the "Spendulus" bill was forced down our throats, we were told that this money would shore up the economy and we'd be well on our way to economic solvency. We were promised transparency and a full accounting of the money spent. "Our money," we were told, "would be spent responsibly." Now, once Obama's felt the heat from the wasteful spending of Porkulus, he claims that the $787B was to be spent over the course of two years. Apparently, this "crisis" wasn't one atall. He wants to do the same with our healthcare system, calling the number of uninsured, a "crisis," and we must do something about it NOW.

But at what costs, Mr. President?

Have a great day...
